Gospel Communities

Gospel Communities – also known as home groups or small groups – are the primary way Cornerstone Newcastle grow in knowing Jesus and making Jesus known together.

While Sunday meetings are based in Newcastle city centre, Gospel Communities meet in 6 residential areas across Newcastle and Gateshead on Wednesdays or Thursdays, usually in each other’s homes.

We help each other know Jesus more by praying, reading the bible and discussing life together – as we support each other in the ordinary and extraordinary aspects of our lives. We make Jesus known by finding ways to serve our local communities, places of education or work and the wider city by sharing the gospel and helping practically.

Drop us a message if you would like to join one of our Gospel Communities.

  • JESMOND

Jesmond Gospel Community meet in different houses around Jesmond on Wednesdays from 19:00. We love eating food together, studying the scriptures and encouraging one another to tell our friends about Jesus.

  • HEATON

Murray and Naomi lead the Heaton gospel community. We're a mixed bunch of ages and occupations, but share a love of Christ Jesus (as well as eating, chatting and chuckling together). Above all we want to know Him better ourselves and make Him better known to our communities. We tend to meet on Thursdays at 19:00, but are flexible around community events we can get involved in.

  • gateshead

Dave and Jasmine Parr lead the Gateshead Gospel Community group every Wednesday evening. Our desire is to know Jesus more through bible study and fellowship together, and to make Jesus known by exploring what it means to be on mission in our local community. We usually have fellowship and food at our Gospel Community evenings starting at 19:30.

  • Newcastle west

At the Newcastle West GC Andy and Vikki Pestell lead and meet in the west end of the city. We mainly consist of couples, a few young families and a few students and seek to involve ourselves in each others' lives and reaching our friends and neighbours with the gospel. We meet on Thursday nights at 19:30. We would love to have you along.

  • KENTON

The Kenton GC focus is taken from Acts 2:42 - 47. As a group we desire to to grow in our relationship with Christ, each other and those who don't know Christ. Every Thursday at 19:30 we meet and share food together. We build community by doing life together, so feel free to pop along and see what we are all about!

  • fenham

Fenham GC meets on a Thursday at 19.30 - we want to build deep and honest relationships with God and each other; to encourage us to reach out to neighbours and friends with the love of God. Everyone is welcome!
