What to Expect

The People

At Cornerstone we are just an ordinary bunch of people in various stages of faith and walks in life. There is no specific dress code.

The Service

We meet on the first floor of Bamburgh House. Generally, we start our Sunday meetings with a mix of songs both old and new, accompanied by a band of musicians. We generally teach through books of the bible and talk a lot about Jesus and what he has done for us.

The Kids

Children are such a valuable part of Cornerstone Church Newcastle; we love having families as part of our community. We have facilities for your children no matter their age! Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the kids within Cornerstone Church is amongst our highest priorities. All those that serve in this area have a DBS check and have undergone child protection training.

    • Babies
We have a parents' room where parents can look after their young children aged between 0 and 18 months and still listen to the sermon via a live audio feed. This room is stocked with tea and coffee and some toys for the little ones!

    • 18 Months – 13 Years
We have a team of trained kids work volunteers to look after children, over 18 months, throughout the service. Each week the children follow an engaging, gospel centred programme. They are encouraged to have fun and be creative all whilst learning more of who Jesus is . All you have to do is sign them in at the “Check in” area and sign them back out at 12pm the kids team will do the rest!

Parking

We have a few visitors parking permits that allow you to park around the building for free on a Sunday but be sure to get here early to get one. Alternatively, there is a council multi-story parking at the Premier Inn in Oxford Street (pay by phone) or in Durant Street. Both are only a two minute walk from where we meet.
