Children are such a valuable part of Cornerstone Church Newcastle; we love having families as part of our community. We have facilities for your children no matter their age! Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the kids within Cornerstone Church is amongst our highest priorities. All those that serve in this area have a DBS check and have undergone child protection training.

18 Months – 13 Years

We have a team of trained kids work volunteers to look after children, over 18 months, throughout the service. Each week the children follow an engaging, gospel centred programme. They are encouraged to have fun and be creative all whilst learning more of who Jesus is . All you have to do is sign them in at the “Check in” area and sign them back out at 12pm the kids team will do the rest!

The vision of our Youth ministry is to work with young people and families in an evangelistic capacity. We seek to disciple young people from adolescence to adulthood encouraging them to pursue a personal and biblical walk with God whilst serving as a vital member of the wider church body.  Our youth ministry is a key part of the outworking of the body of Christ.

What do we do:

Sunday Mornings - 3 Sundays a month we hold a Youth Bible study from 11am -12am. This is for ages 10 and up. We encourage our young people to take part in the corporate worship and then separate off for our own discussion time and activities. This is led by our Youth Leaders. Our weeks are the 1st 2nd and 3rd Sunday of every month.

We encourage our young people to be active members of the church body, therefore we stay in the church service on the 4th Sunday of the month, when there is a visiting speaker or we have a special service such as Baptisms and dedications.

Mid week meeting - We are soon to be launching a mid week discipleship group. For more information please contact David or Jasmine Parr.

Outreach - We are working towards various summer outreach projects and then a permanent evangelistic youth club.

We love having so many students at Cornerstone Church. Whether they are at degree-level or at college, we love the diversity they bring to our church and the various skills that they have to offer. We have a team within our church that head-up our student ministry, which aims to bring students together and help them to grow in their faith through discipleship and serving opportunities.

Our vision for the Student Ministry at Cornerstone Church Newcastle is to immerse our students in the community of the wider church family whilst also presenting them with opportunities to grow deeper friendships with other students, by encouraging one another towards Christ through discipleship. The Student Ministry Team is formed of a group of recent graduates who seek to look out for the needs of students at Cornerstone and help them to get involved in the life of the church by coming alongside them, encouraging them in their gifts and talents, as well as challenging them to grow in faith.

The team also organises socials and training events throughout the year. The ministry is dynamic and always open for fresh ideas.
